Dakota Prairie has cancelled all after school activities for today due to upcoming weather so there will be NO baseball or softball practice today. There will also be NO elementary volleyball practice after school today for Midkota.
The Small Group Music Contest that was to be held tomorrow in Jamestown has been postponed until next week Wednesday, April 9.
Moore Liberty-Griggs County Telephone Company (MLGC) has created a scholarship program. This is a new program and MLGC is offering seven $2,000 scholarships to graduating seniors whose parents or guardians are MLGC customers. While preference will be given to students enrolling in STEM programs, we encourage everyone to apply. Applications should be completed on their website and are due by April 15, 2025. The Midkota Speech Team has had a busy couple of weeks.
On Saturday, March 22nd, they traveled to the May-Port CG meet. Individual results are as follows:
Aubrie Stangeland -8th in Storytelling
Amy Ramsey - 6th in Storytelling
Nora Twedt - 5th in Storytelling
On Saturday, March 29th, they competed at the Barnes County North tournament and placed 5th overall out of 18 schools. Individual results were as follows:
Aubrie Stangeland - 6th in Storytelling and Top Novice in Humorous Duo
Nora Twedt - 7th in Storytelling and Top Novice in Humorous Duo
Heidi Ramsey - 7th in Dramatic and 6th in Serious Duo
Haylie Spickler - 5th in Impromptu
Amy Ramsey - 6th in Serious Duo and 4th in Storytelling
Grandin Black - 2nd in Persuade and 1st in Radio, State Qualifying again!

With word of mouth and popularity, Jamison Kramer has decided to open up his basketball training to 5th & 6th graders. His training is working on fundamentals and breaking down moves.
This training is in Glenfield on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
5th-7th grades will run from 6-7:00
8th and up 7:00-8:15

Attention Midkota Preschool Parents:
Kindergarten Screening for the 2025-26 Kindergarten class has been set for Friday, April 25th at the elementary school from 9-11 AM. Letters will be sent in the mail this week to parents of preschool students, so please be on the lookout. Please contact the elementary office if you don't receive a letter, and you believe that your child should be a part of the screening.

Seniors interested in a medical profession! Northwood Deaconess Health Center is excited to share a scholarship opportunity open to high school seniors. There are $500 - $1000 scholarships to high school seniors in our region who intend to attend a secondary program and pursue a health career.
