Midkota Elementary is proud of announce our March Students of the Month. In March we were looking for students who encourage those around them. Our K-2 recipient was Brooke Black and our 4-6 selection was Kelby Kuster. Congratulations to you both, and thank you for being such an encouragement to others!

If anyone has been looking for the first Spring Robin of the year, he's in here, hiding at Midkota Elementary until it warms up. :) Thank you to Mrs. Topp's 6th Grade art class for providing some hopeful signs of spring! Have a great Easter weekend everyone!

The Senior Class ventured out in the snow to head up to the elementary school for a fun visit with the Kindergarten class. They first decorated Easter bags, and then they went on an egg hunt. What a fun morning!

The Midkota Speech team spent Saturday, March 28th in Harvey at their speech invitational with 22 other schools. This was the last regular season meet with just the Regional and State meets to go.
Individual results are as follows:

Amy Ramsey - 4th in Extemporaneous Programmed Reading
Heidi Ramsey - Top Novice in Dramatic and 3rd in Serious Prose

The Midkota Speech team competed at the May-Port CG Speech meet on Saturday, March 21st. The team placed 4th overall out of 15 schools. Individual results are as follows:

Haylie Spickler - 3rd in Inform, 4th in Impromptu
Heidi Ramsey - Top Novice in Dramatic, 2nd in Serious Prose

The Multi-Media class took a field trip to WDAY in Fargo. The students broke into two groups, and the ladies got the opportunity to be on air live with Dom Izzo during Hot Mic! The students had the opportunity to view a live news cast behind the scenes from the control room and live with the news anchor and meteorologist.

Happy Monday, Midkota! A few changes to the elementary side this week concerning volleyball. We have moved the Pingree-Buchanan game from this Thursday to next Tuesday, March 24. We have then moved the game with GCC on that day to this week Thursday, March 19. Times and locations remain the same. If you have any questions, please let me know.
