It's a busy week with spring sports! The baseball game today has been changed to be played in Tolna at 4:30pm. The Golf meet originally scheduled to be played in Leonard today will be played tomorrow, same time. The JV/V Softball games in Grafton today will start at 4pm. Congratulations to the Midkota Speech Team on their excellent performance at Regional competition on Saturday, April 12th in McVille! The team placed 2nd overall with a total of 67 sweepstakes points. Individual results are as follows: Grandin Black - 1st Place in Radio and 1st Place in Persuade, Double State-Qualifying! Amy Ramsey - 1st Place in Serious Duo and 2nd Place in Storytelling, Double State-Qualifying Heidi Ramsey - 1st Place in Dramatic and 1st Place in Serious Duo, Double State Qualifying Aubrie Stangeland - 3rd Place in Storytelling and 2nd Place in Humorous Duo, State Qualifying Nora Twedt - 4th Place in Storytelling, and 2nd Place in Humorous Duo, State Qualifying The team will next compete at State competition in Mandan on April 26th.

On April 9th, a group of 14 Midkota Music students traveled to the University of Jamestown for Region 5 solo and small group contests. As several students participated in more than one performance, there were ten entries overall and in total Midkota scored one Star rating, four 'I' ratings, and five 'II' ratings (highest to lowest ratings are: Star, I, II, III with a Star rating representing state qualification.) This was a great showing for our school and our students represented themselves and our school in the very best way!
