Midkota Elementary had their end of the year awards this morning. Student of the Month for May is Quincy Watkins for the K-3 Grade category and Macy Skjeret for the 4-6 Grade category. The character trait that they exemplified was Teamwork. We are proud of you!
Students also received awards for attendance, poppy posters, archery, and a myriad of academic areas. We are SO proud of our students! Have a Happy Summer Midkota! :)




The sun came out and the weather cooperated! Midkota Elementary enjoyed a great Track and Fun Day. Thank you to everyone who helped out or came to watch. We hope you had fun too!





Any girls interested in wrestling? Coach Jensen & Coach Griffin will be hosting open mats all summer for any girls interested in joining wrestling. It will be every Monday night at 7pm starting June 16.

Good morning, Midkota! Due to the forecasted weather for Thursday and Friday, the Softball Play In game, JH Baseball game and the Regional Track Meet have all been rescheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, May 14. The Regional Track meet will begin at 8:30am with the field events and the running events are scheduled to start at 9:30am. The JH Baseball game in Lakota against Park River will start at 1pm. The Softball Play In game will start at 2pm in McVille against Larimore.
With the sports rescheduling to tomorrow we have decided to move the Fine Arts Night and HS Spring Concert to this Friday, May 16. Fine Arts Night beginning at 6:15pm and the concert to begin at 7:30pm.

Hip-hip hooray, it was a pool party kind of day in first grade! We were detectives and found out who the beach bandit was, enjoyed some sunshine with chalk, and cooled down with some water and popsicles.

New Bank of North Dakota Tuition Assistance Program
Beginning with the 2025-26 school year, dual credit assistance applications will be available exclusively on PowerSchool through the ND Education Portal.
Top changes:
Applications will now be available July 1st of each year
This is a fixed feature of PowerSchool we are unable to change.
Signatures are no longer required by the student, parent or school official.
The student’s Free or Reduced-Price Lunch (FRPL) eligibility will come over automatically based on their status in PowerSchool.
High school class: Students will need to enter what the high school course equivalency is to their college course, ex: Speech counts as an English credit.
Additionally, students will need to check on their application status within the application tab. We will not be sending approval/denial letters to students going forward.
“Completed” will indicate a reviewed application.
“Submitted” will indicate that their application hasn’t been processed.
“Incomplete” will indicate that there is an error, and they need to make a correction.
Students with “incomplete’ status will be emailed so that they know what they need to change.
If you have any students who still need to submit applications for 2024-25, we encourage you to begin submitting them using the PowerSchool application. Please see the attached tutorial.
