Midkota Community: Many times there are questions or concerns that may arise from a parent or student. If a student is having a problem that needs attention, whether it be with studies, other children, or staff, there is a standard process for addressing the problem. Problems are best solved as close to the source as possible. With that in mind, we ask the following: · It is suggested that you discuss your concerns first with your child. · If further communication is necessary, visit with your child’s teacher. · If satisfaction is not reached at this level, a visit with the principal or a letter is welcome. · After a visit to the principal, if the situation warrants further discussion, a visit with the superintendent would be appropriate. · The board members are to be contacted only after the teacher, principal, and superintendent have been approached and still no solution has been reached.

Tuesday, Oct 6, the G-M Titans will be hosting the Oakes tornadoes in Cooperstown. GCC is operating in the green/low-risk category and that means that indoor events will have a 75% capacity limit. Volleyball coaches from Griggs-Midkota and Oakes have been issued tickets for parents/guardians. Additional tickets for the game will be available starting at 10:00 am on Monday at the MHS and GCC offices. There are a limited number available due to attendance regulations. Elementary Boys Basketball will begin on Monday, October 5th. 5th and 6th grade boys that have never had a sports physical will need to have one prior to practicing. Mr. Danielson is working on this season's game schedule, a tentative practice and game schedule is located on our website (midkotaschools.k12.nd.us) under Documents/Activities/Elementary Basketball/Volleyball. At this time 4th graders are invited to practice, but participation on game days should not be expected. Again, they would nee a sports physical as well to practice. Questions, call the office at 701-676-2511. Thanks!

Calling All Sand Toys Hey Midkota, If you happen to have any gently used sand toys that could use a new home, look no further. The elementary school would love to make use of some toys for our sandbox. Our new pre-school class especially loves the sandbox and would be excited to play with some "new" sand toys. Donations can be dropped off at the office, or sent to school with your students. Thank you and Happy Fall!
