The Region 2 GBB Tournament will begin on Monday, February 24 in Devils Lake. Our Lady Titans will play Langdon/Munich in the 3rd game of the evening, roughly around 6pm. Good luck!
Good morning, Midkota! Congratulations to our GBB team on their win last night against Nelson County which granted them a berth into the Region 2 Tournament. And also Congratulations to Kelsey Johnson on making the All District Team.
Tonight's BBB game against Napoleon will be in Gackle starting at 6pm with the JV followed by the Varsity. The boys will close out their regular season games on Friday in Cooperstown against Midway/Minto starting at 4pm with the 7th grade followed by C, JV and Varsity. It's a busy night for Titan basketball! The Lady Titans will be in Tower City to play Maple River at 4:30pm starting with the C squad , followed by the JV and Varsity. Our Titan boys will play Barnes County North starting at 4pm with the JH followed by the JV and Varsity. There is NO C squad for the boys tonight. Good luck to all teams!

Midkota Elementary would like to announce their January Students of the Month: Lily Hoffman (K-3 category) and Lauren Dockter (4-6 category)! Staff and teachers in the elementary building have been looking for a way to recognize outstanding student achievement. Each month we look for a different character trait to be exemplified in students. This month was Kindness! Congratulations Lily and Lauren! We are sure proud of you! :)
A special "thank you" to Mrs. Quam and Ms. Larson for spear-heading this process and to the Midkota Booster club for funding our student awards.
Earlier this week Midkota Elementary students were asked to write down kind acts or words of encouragement that were then attached to dominoes. Today as we gathered together in the gym, we witnessed how one small act of kindness can have a domino effect on many other people. Students also spelled out "Be Kind" together on the gym floor. Thank you to the 3rd/4th grade PE class along with Mrs. Black and Miss Dietz for setting up the dominoes. :)
Now that we've had a great refresher in spreading kindness in our school, let's get out there and see how many people we can reach!

Miss Dietz was over at the elementary this afternoon facilitating some fun Team Building activities for Kindness Week. Students were busy cup stacking and hula hoop racing with abandon. :)
