Just a few things for today, Thursday, November 30, 2024: JH BBB practice will be at MHS today and tomorrow, not GCC as originally scheduled. Lady Titans take on Devils Lake JV at the Sports Center today in Devils Lake at 3pm for the first round of the Ramsey County Tournament. Good luck!

PRESS RELEASE November 29, 2023 Midkota Public School was given notice yesterday, Tuesday, November 28th, of allegations made against superintendent, Ryan Baron. The school has already and will continue to cooperate with law enforcement in any way possible in order to bring about swift resolution in this matter. Mr. Baron has been placed on leave at this time and will not be present on school property. As this is an active investigation, Midkota will be unable to comment beyond this statement at this time. We do not believe this issue to directly involve the school buildings. Midkota will continue to educate and support our students through this time. We wish to thank the state and local law enforcement agencies for their diligent efforts in this matter. Midkota is working with a school attorney to determine next steps.

This past Monday, November 20, a number of our Midkota High School music students performed at the 41st Annual Barnes County Music Festival at the VCSU Center for the Arts in Valley City. Band and Choir students from Midkota, Maple Valley, Valley City, Griggs County Central, Finley-Sharon, and Hope-Page performed under the direction of Cheryl McIntyre, voice, and Susan German, band. The event was a tremendous opportunity and experience for our Midkota music students!

Just a reminder that if your child is re-taking their school pictures, picture Re-take Day is on Monday, November 20!

BND FAFSA Events Registration for events available at: https://bnd.nd.gov/fafsa/ Let’s get ready for the FAFSA! November 29 at 7 p.m. CT Learn what you need to prepare so you can complete the FAFSA when it goes live. You will learn about the Federal Student Aid ID, granting consent to transfer Federal Tax Information, and which information you need before starting the FAFSA. Walk through the FAFSA form/understand parent guidelines. December 20 at 7 p.m. It’s time to complete the FAFSA. We’ll preview the form and discuss the guidelines to determine which parent(s) need to contribute Federal Tax Information. You’ve completed the FAFSA. Now what? January 24 at 7 p.m. Congrats! You’ve completed the FAFSA. We’ll discuss the types of financial aid that are available and how they are outlined in your offer of financial aid.

It's not too late! Midkota Apparel is still available online from Orriginals of Jamestown through Nov. 22nd. After that we will close the online store in order to make sure that apparel items are ready in time for Christmas. :) Happy shopping!

Just a friendly reminder that students who are in the school building after dismissal need to have the supervision of a staff member or guardian. If students are staying after for activities, please pre-arrange supervision plans with another parent or staff member. We want to make sure all of our students are safe and sound. :) Thank you.

Just a reminder for all elementary girls basketball players to turn in their jersey's ASAP!

Elementary boys basketball game today in Glenfield starts at 4:30pm. Girls basketball practice starts today for all squads at GCC. Have a great week everyone!
