Good Luck to our Titan Girls Basketball Team as they close out their regular season and start post-season play! The girls open district tournament action Friday, February 11th, with a 4:30pm game vs LLM at the Jamestown Civic Center!!
Todays, Feb 5th, GBB at Oak Grove are JV/V only starting at 12:00 pm. The C squad game is canceled.
To allow additional travel time to the GBB contests at Oak Grove tomorrow, February 5th, Leave times are MHS 7:30am and GCC 8:00am.
Out of concern for safety of athletes and fans given current traveling conditions, there will be no games tonight, Friday, February 4th, in Edinburg. The 7,8,C games versus DVE are CANCELED for tonight and will not be rescheduled.
We will send the following GBB squads to Edinburg today for our games against DVE: 7th grade, 8th grade, and C squad. There will be 6 quarters of JH and 4 quarters of C squad. To allow for additional travel time, the bus will leave MHS at 1:30pm and GCC at 2:10pm.
The C squad GBB game vs EKM scheduled for today, Thursday, February 3rd, has been canceled. The JV game will start at 4:30pm followed by varsity.
Midkota Schools will start on time tomorrow, Thursday, February 3rd. Please contact your child's bus driver if you plan to bring your child to school or if you plan to meet the bus route at an alternate location. Riders, please be ready on time yet expect delays as drivers safely navigate their routes. Whether you are on Midkota transportation or your own, PLEASE exercise caution in current icy conditions and have proper winter attire for these bitterly cold temperatures.
Out of an abundance of caution due to continued icy travel conditions, Midkota Public Schools will remain closed tomorrow, Wednesday, February 2nd. We value the health and safety of our staff and students. Please stay home and stay safe.
Midkota Schools will be Two hours late tomorrow, Wednesday, February 2nd, to allow for extra travel time and increased daylight in icy road conditions. Students and staff, please allow extra travel time for your morning commute and have proper winter apparel. Bus passengers, please be ready at your stop to allow the driver to safely get everyone to school. We will reassess road conditions in the morning.
The GBB games scheduled for today at MHS have been rescheduled to Thursday, February 3rd. C squad will start at 4:30pm followed by JV and Varsity.
Midkota Public School is canceled today, Tuesday, February 1st.
The Freshmen Field trip to LRSC's CTE Day scheduled for Tuesday, February 1st, is postponed to a later date.

With the possibility of bad weather this afternoon, the afternoon extended day program will be cancelled for today, Monday, January 31.
Last week Midkota Elementary observed Kindness Week. We had some fun dress up days and tried to encourage each other with our words and actions. We gathered everyone together in the gym to send you our Midkota love through a picture. It is our hope that we act with kindness all year long, but it is fun to enjoy a few different activities during the cold January days to keep us motivated and engaged.
Last year the Great Kindness Challenge was observed in 115 countries by almost 17 million students, and Midkota is excited to be a part of that once again! #GREATKINDNESS CHALLENGE
Midkota Public School and buses will be two hours late tomorrow, Feb. 1st. Road surfaces are expected to be icy and blowing snow will be a factor for tomorrow's travel. Please stay safe Midkota.
