Midkota Public School Update
October 28th, 2020
From the desk of the Sara Bilden
Today we held a special school board meeting to discuss some current pandemic issues facing the school. There has been some changes in the policies and guidelines from the state health department, and the Midkota Smart Restart Committee met last night to adjust our plans accordingly. Changes to our plan approved by our school board this morning are as follows. In phase Green Level B, masks will be required to be worn in classroom group work. The movement from Green Level B Phase to Yellow Phase will be made by administration in coordination with the local health department. And finally, in Phase Yellow face coverings will be required according to ND State and local health guidelines. Currently approved face coverings include face masks and cloth face coverings and does not apply to face shields or neck gaiters.
As of today, Wednesday, October 28th, 2020, Midkota Public Schools Elementary and High School will move to Phase Yellow of our Smart Restart Plan. If you would like to review the Midkota Smart Restart Plan please visit: https://5il.co/j31k or if you would like more information on the ND State Guidance please visit: http://bit.ly/3jBr4m5 . Although we do not have any answers when dealing with this pandemic that we are addressing each hurdle as we reach it. As always, thank you all for your continued support of Midkota.
