I witnessed a pretty amazing thing the other day in Mr. Hoeckle's Elementary Band lessons. Mr. Hoeckle had been working with the trombone group but had to break away to work with the saxophone group. While Mr. Hoeckle was doing that, another trombone student (Cainen S), without being asked and without any disruption, got up and continued with the trombone lesson for him and his peers. He led them through a couple different sets and they even worked through some errors. The two trombone players followed his lead and made the most of the time they had in lessons. When Mr. Hoeckle was able to get back, Cainen sat down and they seamlessly continued. What a great thing to observe! #MidkotaProud

Even after an amazing (and extremely filling) lunch of chicken alfredo and garlic bread, the 7th grade was right at it with Ultimate Football in their Phy Ed class. One can really see the competitive spirit come out in the kids! Teams score various points by either making a basket with the football, hitting the backboard or touching the rim with the football.

Midkota Student Council is hosting an ONLINE Pampered Chef Party to fundraise money. The money they raise will go towards the decorations, games, and prizes for any events they host for students and families as well as money to attend the ND State Student Council Conference in Bismarck. This is a great holiday gift idea or an easy way to get all your cookware to host the holidays. Link will close on November 24th.
