Hey Midkota Elementary! Thanks for hanging in there with us during this week of crazy weather. We want you to know that we appreciate every effort that you make to help us make learning doable for students on Virtual Learning days. We are so grateful that we are all a part of the same team! We also want you to know that teachers choose each Virtual Learning assignment with intentionality and weigh the pros and cons of learning material at home.
Now on to next week and hopefully less exciting (although cold) weather. We plan to celebrate and make the most of our 3 days next week. Please see our Christmas Fun Week schedule below.

Today's BBB game vs. MayPort CG has been rescheduled for tomorrow, Saturday 12/17 @ Cooperstown. Start time for 7th grade will be 3:30, followed by an 8th grade game, JV, then Varsity.
Leave time: MHS 2:15
Today’s BBB contest versus Mayport-CG is postponed. Working on finding a date to reschedule, will keep you updated as soon as I find out.
Today's JH GBB game @ Valley City is postponed. Working on finding another date to play, will update when that is scheduled.
Today's V/JV GBB @ Carrington will be postponed! I will keep you updated on a new date as soon as we reschedule.
Good evening Midkota families - After careful examination of roads this evening and with tomorrow's expected weather, we feel that the best choice with student and staff safety in mind is for tomorrow (Thursday, Dec. 15) to be a Virtual Learning Day. Please refer to the attached Virtual Learning schedule for specific times and information. Stay safe and have a good evening.
With school dismissing early there will be no BBB or GBB practice today 12/13.
Due to weather conditions on Tuesday 12/13 our BBB contest versus Dakota Prairie is postponed until a later date! I will keep you updated.
Due to Valley City canceling school there will be no JH GBB game tonight 12/13. We will try to find another date to make this game up! I will keep you posted.

Upon careful consideration of tonight and tomorrow's continued winter weather event, there will be No School at Midkota tomorrow (Wednesday, December 14). As a note - tomorrow will not be a Virtual Learning day. Stay safe!
Good morning Midkota. Due to deteriorating weather conditions, Midkota Public School will be dismissing at noon today, December 13th, and buses will run at that time. Lunch will be served to students prior to dismissal. Please stay safe and warm Midkota.
All basketball practices Monday 12/12 are being dismissed at 5:15.
The Midkota School Board will be meeting tomorrow morning at 7:30am in Binford. In case of bad weather, meeting will be held over Zoom. Please see below for agenda and Zoom link.

Update to tomorrow's BBB JH game. Start time changed from 4:00 to 4:30, playing 5 quarters of JH.
For tomorrow’s Stutsman County Tournament the bus will leave MHS @ 12:30.
Just a reminder that the the elementary is once again collecting nonperishable food items for the Griggs County Bread of Life Food Pantry.
The Food Drive will run until Tues., Dec. 20th. Items can be dropped off at the elementary school or at Binford Grocery and Hardware.
