Good morning again Midkota. After further evaluation of roads and weather conditions, Midkota Public School will be closed today, Wednesday, November 20th. There will not be school or Virtual Learning today. Thank you and stay safe Midkota.

Due to adverse winter weather driving conditions, Midkota Public School and buses will be two hours late, Wednesday, November 20th. With many students and staff traveling from areas more greatly impacted by the wind and snow, a late start will ensure greater safety on the road. Please make sure your students have winter gear with them before they leave the house. Thank you and stay safe Midkota.

Stri-King Lanes in Hannaford will be starting a Youth Bowling League January 5th. For more information and how to register your child, please see below.

Girls basketball practice starts today at GCC - all squads. The varsity and JV squads will go to Cavalier Saturday morning for a scrimmage starting at 10am. Bus will leave MHS at 7:15am and GCC at 7:45am. Have a great week everyone!

ND Boy’s State June 8-13, 2025 Campus of NDSCS, Wapheton, ND An exciting weeklong program that gives you firsthand experience running state government. Young men who have completed their junior year are invited to develop their talents and leadership skills, meet new people and experience campus life. Transportation is available if needed. One .50 credit for social studies can be earned by participation. Scholarship information available. Students who apply for ND Boys State prior to the priority, deadline Friday, April 30, 2025, are eligible for one of three scholarships sponsored by North Dakota Boys State Inc. At the end of the week, the three scholarships ($250, $150, and $100) are presented to three randomly selected recipients. Scholarships are awarded for the students’ first fall semester. Scholarships are only eligible at North Dakota colleges and universities. Samsung American Legion Scholarship: The Samsung corporation awards numerous scholarships to students who attend Boys and Girls state. We would like to give a big shout out to the Griggs-Midkota Football team for the great season! Tough loss on Saturday afternoon but you played your hearts out and we are so proud of you. Seniors, thank you for your years of dedication. From 2020 when you stepped up as 8th graders to help the team out because of COVID and all the tough years in between, you have shown what perseverance and hard work can lead to! It was a fun year and we thoroughly enjoyed watching all of you play. Good luck with your future endeavors. Titan Pride!

Attention Midkota High School Parents! There is a Pep Rally in Cooperstown tomorrow for State Cross Country and the Football team starting at 1:45pm with busses leaving the high school at 1:15pm. If you would like your child to drive to Cooperstown for the pep rally, please call the school no later than noon tomorrow or send a note for the office. If your child is an athlete and already has permission to drive to Cooperstown for practice, you do not need to call or send a note. Calls will not be accepted after noon tomorrow.
