Busy week with sports again this week! Today all VB squads will go to McVille to play Nelson County. Bus will leave MHS at 2:45pm. 7th grade will start at 4pm in their practice gym followed by the 8th grade. It might look like Jack’s magic beanstalk has taken up residence at Midkota Elementary, but Mrs. Quanbeck has been helping young minds to grow instead. Two years ago, Mrs. Quanbeck took part in a pilot program for Reflex Math. The program is meant to help students in grades 2-4 develop automaticity with their math facts. After experiencing AMAZING results that first year, our teachers asked if we could continue the program. Mrs. Quanbeck has spearheaded these efforts and this year students who meet their goals and get a “green light” earn a balloon towards our Reflex tower. Our goal was the ceiling, and we made it TODAY! Keep it up students and thank you Mrs. Quanbeck and classroom teachers for making this learning opportunity a reality for our students. :)

The 2024 Homecoming Pep Rally will be held at Griggs County Central on Friday, September 20th at 1:45pm. A bus will be leaving MHS at 1:15pm and returning by 3:15pm for regular after school bus home. IF your child wishes to drive or ride with another student to GCC for the pep rally, please have this form signed and returned to the office by 3:15pm on Thursday, September 19. The office WILL NOT accept forms or phone calls from parents on Friday for permission. We have a lot of busses going to field trips on Friday and we need numbers to properly plan. Forms will be sent home with your child today. Please read the form thoroughly, improperly filled out forms will be discarded.
