An exciting weeklong program that gives you firsthand experience running state government. Young men who have completed their junior year are invited to develop their talents and leadership skills, meet new people and experience campus life. Transportation is available if needed. One .50 credit for social studies can be earned by participation. Scholarship information available.
Students who apply for ND Boys State prior to the priority, deadline Friday, April 30, 2025, are eligible for one of three scholarships sponsored by North Dakota Boys State Inc. At the end of the week, the three scholarships ($250, $150, and $100) are presented to three randomly selected recipients. Scholarships are awarded for the students’ first fall semester. Scholarships are only eligible at North Dakota colleges and universities.
Samsung American Legion Scholarship: The Samsung corporation awards numerous scholarships to students who attend Boys and Girls state. For information regarding eligibility and application information, please visit http://www.legion.org/scholarships/samsung . The deadline for submission is arrival at ND Boys State registration.

We would like to give a big shout out to the Griggs-Midkota Football team for the great season! Tough loss on Saturday afternoon but you played your hearts out and we are so proud of you. Seniors, thank you for your years of dedication. From 2020 when you stepped up as 8th graders to help the team out because of COVID and all the tough years in between, you have shown what perseverance and hard work can lead to! It was a fun year and we thoroughly enjoyed watching all of you play. Good luck with your future endeavors. Titan Pride!

Attention Elementary Boys Basketball Parents! There will NOT be pictures taken today before the game. They will be taken on Monday, October 28th before the game in Glenfield against BCN. The game today in Binford against GCC will still start at 4:15pm.

Attention Midkota High School Parents! There is a Pep Rally in Cooperstown tomorrow for State Cross Country and the Football team starting at 1:45pm with busses leaving the high school at 1:15pm. If you would like your child to drive to Cooperstown for the pep rally, please call the school no later than noon tomorrow or send a note for the office. If your child is an athlete and already has permission to drive to Cooperstown for practice, you do not need to call or send a note. Calls will not be accepted after noon tomorrow. Football playoffs are almost here! Our Griggs-Midkota Titans will take on Wyndmere/Lidgerwood on Saturday, October 26 at 1:30pm in Cooperstown. Your season passes WILL NOT work for admittance into the game. Tickets can be purchased at https://gofan.co/app/school/NDHSAA or by downloading the GoFan App on your phone. Tickets CAN be purchased at the gate but will cost more than a digital ticket. See below for more information.
Foster County Health will be at the high school on Wednesday, October 23 to administer flu shots for students and staff. Ms. Dietz’s Desktop Publishing took a field trip to the Foster County Independent. The students enjoyed learning about how to layout pages, create eye-catching pages, and how to work together to create a product for others to enjoy. Thank you Foster County Independent for your time and allowing us to come and visit!
